Our Guiding Principles

Client interests come first.

We have a fiduciary responsibility to place client interests above our own. Many financial advisors hold themselves to a standard of suitability. We hold ourselves to a higher standard—our success is your success. We approach our relationship with clients from a long-term perspective, not as a short-term event.

Financial planning is a process, not an event.

We base our approach on a five-step process: we gather information, analyze that information, recommend a strategy, implement the strategy, and then monitor and adapt the plan over time.

Risk tolerance varies from client to client.

Understanding risk tolerance is critical to recommending and implementing the right financial plan. Assessing risk tolerance means understanding not only a client's age, goals, and financial situation, but also his or her sentiment with regard to risk. There is no such thing as a "one-size-fits-all" financial plan.

Proper asset diversification is key to effective portfolio management.

Proper asset diversification allows us to manage client risk and grow assets for the long run.
